To be eligible for the certification you need to meet the following requirements:
- You must have a bachelor’s degree or be in the final year of your degree program. You must have at least 150 semester hours of college credit, including a minimum number of accounting and business courses.
- You must have at least one or two years of relevant work experience under a FMVA.
- You must pass all four sections of the FMVA exam, which cover topics such as financial modeling, valuation, presentation, and ethics. You must join the CFI as a regular member and agree to follow its Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct.
